When everyday objects start smiling back.

Finding Ks is a small pixel-art observation game about pareidolia in daily life – the moment when random shapes suddenly look like a face.

You are not hunting monsters or solving a big mystery.
You’re just sitting in a quiet corner of Japanese life – a desk, a train, a small room – and waiting for cuteness to appear like a gentle wave.

When you notice a “face” and tap to capture it with your camera, the scene responds for a brief moment – a tiny movement, a soft reaction, a small god of cuteness saying hello.

All the “K(awaii)s” you find are recorded in a simple Dex, so you can slowly fill your own collection of quiet, personal waves of pareidolia.

How to play

• Look at the scene and find a spot that feels like a face.

• Tap / click to open the camera viewport centered on that point.

• Tap the shutter button to capture.

• If a hidden “K” is there, a popup appears with its name and a short line of text.

• Collected Ks are added to your Dex (collection).

• You can open the Dex to view the creatures you’ve found.

There is no time limit, no fail state, and no score.

Take your time and let the small waves of cuteness appear.

Features

• Short, calm play session – perfect for a break

• Pixel-art scenes inspired by everyday Japanese spaces

• Camera-based interaction: tap to look for faces and capture them

• A simple Dex that records the Ks you found

• No jump scares, no pressure – just quiet observation

Notes

• This is an early jam build – small bugs or rough edges may exist.

• Built with Unity and a pixel-perfect camera to keep the chunky look.

Feedback on readability, controls, or how the “faces” feel would be very helpful for shaping the next update.
